Hatchery
A great deal of meticulous care goes into making sure those yellow balls of chirping fluff hatch from their shells as healthy chicks ready to be raised on a broiler farm.
We purchase fertilized eggs from various hatching egg producers. Hatcheries are registered with the Caribbean Poultry Association (CPA), and they must abide by the Hatchery Regulations set forth by the agency. The regulations govern the cleanliness of the hatchery, which is especially important to keep the incubators free of pathogens that might cause the chicks to become ill or result in foodborne illness.

Growing
Our chickens are raised in climate-controlled tunnel houses with the freedom to roam.
The entire coop and all equipment is cleaned and readied for the arrival of the new chicks, including putting down a fresh layer of soft, clean bedding. Everything must be in order for the new arrivals because they will require a lot of care.
Our chickens are raised for meat and are not raised in cages. Our coops like this – with the freedom to roam.

FEED MILLS
Hormones are not added to our chicken feed or administered to commercial meat chickens grown in Grenada.
Hormone supplementation is a practice that has been banned internationally for more than fifty years. Feed is made up of 85-90% grains, legumes and oilseeds, including wheat, sorghum, barley, oats, lupins, soybean meal, canola and other oilseed meals and grain legumes.
